DLBA and SBDC Team to Host Workshops for Small Business Owners

On February 21, the DLBA and SBDC will host a workshop on starting a business, including topics like researching your business idea, developing a business plan outline, start-up expenses and financing, legal aspects, and general management issues. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how it can be utilized by small businesses will be the topic of the second workshop, scheduled for February 27.
“Small businesses play a key role in the economic health of Downtown Long Beach,” said DLBA President and CEO Kraig Kojian. “We are pleased to be pooling our resources with the SBDC to better serve local business owners and stimulate the region’s economy.”
The How to Start a Small Business workshop is February 21, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m..
The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) workshop is February 27, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m..
Both workshops will be held at the Small Business Development Center 309 Pine Avenue Long Beach, CA 90802
Workshops cost $20, but the DLBA will cover the cost of the first 15 Downtown Long Beach based businesses that RSVP for each workshop. To register for either or both workshops, contact Tyler Kim via firstname.lastname@example.org or 562-485-1080.
Two-hour free parking is available at the CityPlace parking structure, located at 3rd Street and Pine Avenue.
