DLBA Hires Gina Dartt as Marketing and Special Events Manager

The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) has hired Gina Dartt as Marketing and Special Events Manager effective today, November 14, 2011, it was announced today by DLBA President and Chief Executive Officer Kraig Kojian.

Dartt has lived in Long Beach for seven years and has served as Special Events Manager at the Los Angeles Zoo for the last 10 years. In addition to working closely with the Zoo’s Marketing and Public Relations departments to promote the Zoo, her experience includes planning, promoting and executing numerous special events and exhibit openings.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Gina to the DLBA team,” said Kojian. “Her experience working at the L.A. Zoo, combined with her background in marketing and special events will be a tremendous asset to our organization and Downtown. We look forward to her fresh perspective on how to continue improving and expanding on already established events, as well as building successful new Downtown events.”

Among her roles with the DLBA, Dartt will work with Downtown stakeholders and DLBA staff to increase awareness for, and enhance the climate of, Downtown Long Beach. She will also develop, promote, and manage special events.

“I look forward to working with the DLBA Board, stakeholders, community partners and residents to market Downtown Long Beach and continue positioning it as a tourist and residential destination,” said Dartt. “Downtown Long Beach has a series of great events and the DLBA has diligently worked to add to and expand on this base. I’m excited to being a part of Downtown Long Beach’s future.”

A native of San Gabriel, CA, Dartt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
