DLBA Hosts World Cup Viewing Party on Pine Avenue Today

Futbol fans will fill the streets of Downtown Long Beach today, Tuesday, July 1 to cheer for our home team in the World Cup. Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) will host the first World Cup on Pine Avenue watch party on Pine Avenue between Broadway and 3rd Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Capturing the energy and excitement of the United States team advancing in the World Cup on Thursday, the all-day event will include a viewing of the Argentina vs. Switzerland match beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the US vs. Belgium match at 1 p.m. Games will be displayed on a giant LED screen with live music and DJs entertaining the crowd throughout the day. Pine Avenue businesses, including those that typically operate exclusively during the evenings, will open their doors and feature promotions and specials, adding to the festive atmosphere.
