The Downtown Residential Council Hosts Inaugural Leadership Retreat

The Downtown Residential Council (DRC) is sponsoring the First Annual Leadership Retreat on June 15th. The free program will feature sessions designed to help residents build and develop more effective neighborhood associations.
The Saturday event will be held from 10am to 3pm at the Bungalow Building, 743 Pine Ave. Attendees will have their choice of seven sessions, with two scheduled to run concurrently. The forty-five minute sessions will include effective email and social media use, managing volunteers, developing printed and digital newsletters, financial management tips, creating social events, bylaw development, managing elections, advocacy that works and leadership.
The group will break for lunch at noon with Kress Market providing box lunches that can be ordered for $12 along with the free ticket to attend. Sandwich choices can be selected and paid easily by credit card. Drinks will be provided.
