Tickets on Sale Today For Downtown’s New Year’s Eve Party

The streets of Downtown Long Beach will again be filled with revelers ringing in the new year on Tuesday, December 31 for the annual New Year’s Eve celebration produced and co-sponsored by the Downtown Long Beach Associated (DLBA).

The massive two part celebration will begin with a free family-friendly event from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Amphitheatre at Rainbow Harbor followed by a high-energy street party on Pine Avenue from 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. Pre-sale tickets for the Pine Avenue event go on sale for $15 at noon on Monday, November 25.

Family-Friendly Waterfront Celebration
Downtown’s waterfront amphitheater will come alive with a flurry of activities suitable for the whole family. Live bands will energize the crowds and children’s activities including face painting, balloon artists and a trackless train will be available to guests. At 9 p.m., the sky will light up for an East Coast countdown with a ten minute fireworks spectacular from Rainbow Harbor’s lighthouse peninsula.

Concert Style Street Party on Pine Avenue
This year’s Pine Avenue event will encompass two-square city blocks for a massive outdoor celebration featuring three stages of live entertainment.  Eight outdoor bar areas will serve up a variety of spirits, allowing guests to enjoy food and beverages throughout the venue without missing a minute of live music. As midnight strikes, a festive countdown celebration will bring in 2014 in style. The Pine Avenue Celebration is located at intersection of Pine Avenue & Broadway Avenue from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Prices are $15 in advance, or will be available at the event for $20 each.

Free Transportation All Night
The DLBA will again partner with Long Beach Transit to sponsor free transportation on city busses from 5:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. throughout the entire city.  Free Ride LB Transit partnering with LB Transit, sponsored by DLBA.
