Residents Invited to ‘Earthquake Preparedness’ Meeting Tonight

emergency-kit earthquake preparednessLong Beach residents are invited to learn how to prepare and response to disaster situations, during an “Earthquake Preparedness” Meeting Tonight, September 21, 2010 at the Mark Twain Neighborhood Library Community Room.

Sybil Kern of the Long Beach Fire Department will give an overview of earthquake preparedness procedures, including business preparation and how to help your family and neighbors. The presentation is part of the Anaheim Street Community Police Center’s monthly meeting.

The Earthquake Preparedness Meeting tonight is from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at the Mark Twain Neighborhood Library Community Room, 1401 E. Anaheim Street, Long Beach, 90813.

Free parking is available in the library parking lot, and translation will be provided in Khmer and Spanish. Please RSVP to bryant.ben@longbeach.gov or 562.570.1691.
