Election Information Booth Coming to an Event Near You

The Long Beach City Clerk Department will have an election information booth at various upcoming events throughout Long Beach. City Clerk staff will provide residents with information regarding the General Municipal Election on June 3, 2014.
This latest effort is a continuation of the City Clerk’s Express Yourself voter outreach campaign. The information booth will provide residents with voter registration forms, vote-by-mail applications, and information on polling locations and early voting with eSlate. “The information booth is a great way to connect with Long Beach residents,” said Larry Herrera, City Clerk of Long Beach. “By having a larger presence in the community, we hope to encourage residents to actively participate in shaping the future of Long Beach by voting.”
Residents can find the City Clerk booth at the following events:
First Fridays – Friday, May 2nd, 6PM-10PM
Atlantic Avenue, from Bixby Road to San Antonio Drive
Retro Ramble – Saturday, May 3rd, 11AM-5PM
4th Street, from Temple Avenue to Cherry Avenue
Local Harvest Farmers’ Market – Wednesday, May 7th, 3PM-8PM
Marine Stadium, Between Appian Way and Nieto Avenue
Local Harvest Farmers’ Market – Tuesday, May 13th, 3PM-8PM
Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Avenue
Long Beach Asthma Resource Fair – Saturday, May 17th, 10AM-2PM
Admiral Kidd Park, 2125 Santa Fe Avenue
MOLAA Target Free Sundays – Sunday, May 18th, 11AM-5PM
Museum of Latin American Art, 628 Alamitos Avenue

The Long Beach General Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. The election contests are for the offices of Mayor, City Attorney, and City Council Districts 1 and 5.
