Councilwoman Rae Gabelich, Goodwill and Su Casa invite you to an E-Waste drive on Saturday, June 19 from 9 am to 12 noon. Residents may bring their old electronic items such as computers, monitors, printers, televisions, CD and DVD players, and cell phones for a tax-deductible donation. The collection will take place at Scherer Park in the parking lot by the North Division Police Substation at the southeast corner of Atlantic Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to clean out their closets and garages and properly dispose of their old electronic items, receive a tax deduction and support Goodwill and Su Casa,” said Councilwoman Gabelich.
Old or broken e-waste will be recycled by Goodwill, with proceeds going directly to their skill development and employment programs, and all donated cell phones will go to Su Casa to help battered spouses and children successfully transition out of abusive homes. No fluorescent tubes, batteries, household hazardous waste or industrial-scale e-waste will be accepted at this round-up.
For more information, please call Councilwoman Gabelich’s field office at (562) 570-1326 or email email@example.com.
