Les Jolis Trésors, the Long Beach contemporary art gallery, is announcing “The Power of
Color,” featuring three artists: Olivier Clavel, Herlinda Rojas-Giandalia and Adrian Sandstrom.

The gallery will host an artists’ reception during the Third Thursday Art Event On Broadway with Herlinda (November 21st from 5 to 9 pm). The show will run through January 15th, 2014.

The theme of this show says it all as this new art exhibit showcases exciting artists who embody color to express feelings and passion.

“Choosing colors is a process of elimination to capture a scene. Emotion is the most vibrant color on my palette, bringing freedom and inspiration to my work. Joy is at the heart of all my work.” – Olivier Clavel

“Color is my language. I love bold, vibrant, intense colors. In my paintings, I like to apply a succession of different layers: colorful or transparent acrylic paint, tissue paper, fabric, light or coarse molding paste and all sorts of collage materials.” – Herlinda Rojas-Giandalia

“My current work deals with the idea of how the design and form of the pot relate to one’s life. We are all born the same; it is the bumps and curves along our path that lead us to significant endings.” – Adrian Sandstrom

The opening reception for The Power of Color takes place November 21, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Les Jolis Trésors 3226 East Broadway in Long Beach, California. For more information go to www.LesJolisTresors.com or call (562) 735-4060.

Les Jolis Trésors opened its doors in Long Beach Broadway district in December 2009. Annie Clavel, the owner and curator, is a French artist who has lived in Long Beach since 2006. Her gallery specializes in showcasing contemporary art by local artists: paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, wood and wearable art.
