The annual Greek Festival by the Sea, hosted by the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, returns to Long Beach September 4-6 with fun for the whole family.

The three-day cultural festival will also have a full carnival with rides and game booths for the kids, greek dancing and dance lessons, live music, specialty shops and more.

Savor the authentic Greek entrees and desserts including Tyropitas, Spanakopitas, Greek BBQ Chickens, Pork Souvlaki, Loukamades and Baklava. Take a break with a glass of Greek wine, beer or shot of Ouzo. And, when you’re done join in a cooking lesson!

The Greek Festival by the Sea takes place Labor Day weekend, September 4-6 from noon to 9 p.m. daily.

Tickets to the festival cost $3 for adults, children under 12 are free. Admission is free for firemen, policeman and military personnel with proper ID. Proceeds from the Greek Festival benefit Assumption Church Ministries, and Outreach Programs.

The church grounds are located at 5761 East Colorado Street in Long Beach. Parking is available in Cal State Long Beach Parking Lots 6 & 7 off of Seventh Street. Free parking/with free shuttle to and from festival all three days.
