Fifth District families are in for a treat with live caroling and musical performances, real snow and sledding, holiday contests, storytelling, and visits from Santa Claus and the Grinch at the Winter Wonderland event at Good Neighbor Park December 13-14. The event is free and open to the public.

“What could be a better way to get into the holiday spirit than to play in the snow, make gingerbread houses and show off your ugly sweater?” commented Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske, “it will be great fun for the whole family. We’re fortunate to have the Millikan High School Jazz Band, International Children’s Choir of Long Beach, and a wonderful group, the Fireside Carolers who perform in Charles Dickens era costume providing beautiful live music for the event.”
