It only comes once a year — the chance to tell Santa exactly what we want. And some kids prepare diligently for that few sweet moments when they finally get to whisper in Santa’s ear. Seeing their face light up is almost worth standing in line at the mall.
Luckily, this year you won’t have to! We managed to get a peek at Santa’s iPhone and took a quick copy of his calendar. Here are six places that you are sure to find Santa in Long Beach so you can get your traditional Christmas photo. And — not that we’re Santa-stalking — but if you happen to see that Jolly ‘Ol Elf, leave a comment about where you spotted him so we can stop by and say hi too.
Visit Santa Claus at the Marketplace
Santa Claus visits Long Beach’s Marketplace each weekend before Christmas. Find Santa Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Marketplace Long Beach, 6501 E. Pacific Coast Highway (PCH & 2nd St.), Long Beach, CA. Call (562) 431-6282 or visit longbeachmarketplace.com.
See Santa at Metropolitan Living
For the third year, Metropolitan Living invites families to their store for a special visit from Santa Claus from noon to 2 p.m. Be sure to stop by for some shopping, free candy and photographs for all everyone! See Santa at 255 Long Beach Boulevard December 19.
Free Photo with Santa at the Farmer’s Market
Got a last minute request? Then track down Santa at the Long Beach Sunday Market in California Heights on December 20. Bring your own camera and take a photo with Santa for free!
Brunch with Santa
This Sunday, December 20, is your last chance to see “you know who” at the Queen Mary’s Holiday Sunday Brunch. The brunch, featuring special guest Santa Claus, is suitable for all ages and includes entertainment by traditional carolers. The buffet-style breakfast takes place in the ship’s elegant Grand Salon. Brunch hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and prices are $ 39 for adults and $ 12 for children ages 5 to 11. Parking is $ 5 with validation. Call (562) 499-1606 to reserve. Breakfast with Santa
Make your reservation today if you want to have Breakfast with Santa at Buster’s Beach House. The buffet starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 5, at 168 N. Marina Drive and costs $19.95 adults for and $9.95 for ages 8 and younger. Call 598-9431.
Photos with Santa
Santa Claus is coming to town early at the annual 4th Street Holiday Open House! Get your wish-lists together and bring ‘em down on Sunday, December 6th from Noon to 6pm. Get your photo taken with Santa (or his lovely “Elf-ettes”!) at Lil’ Devils Boutique, 2218 E 4th Street. Call 562-439-0555.
An Evening with Santa
Families can take photos with Santa, do holiday crafts, listen to storytime with Mrs. Claus all while enjoying hot chocolate and Christmas snacks. Tickets cost $25 and benefit the Breast Cancer Angels. An Evening with Santa takes place Saturday, December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Toorak Coffee, 5555 Stearns Street #103. www.aneveningwithsanta.com
Santa Claus at Rancho Los Cerritos
Visit with Santa Claus, and take part in crafts, free refreshments, storytelling, and live music at the Rancho Los Cerritos Open House on December 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Children can participate in Christmas crafts and activities from the California frontier. Rancho Los Cerritos is located at 4600 Virginia Road. Call (562) 570-1755.
