Don’t Be Fooled First Fridays is April 1st

Calling all April Fools! First Fridays on April 1 promises even more of “the unexpected.” Catch the return of Beer & Politics featuring City Manager Pat West on the panel discussing “all things bikes.” B&P takes place at Nino’s Italian Restaurant, 3853 Atlantic, beginning at 6:30pm. Special beers and dinner items available.

The Art Exchange debuts at First Fridays with an interactive “Make a Mandala” activity in the North Room of Expo, 4321 Atlantic. The entire family is encouraged to attend and get creative.

Everyone is invited to attend the one-year-wedding-anniversary-vow-renewal-ceremony of Bixby Knolls locals, Laura and Wade Ashley, taking place at 7:30pm at Melinda McCoy’s Flowers, 611 E. Carson. The Knolls Ranger will officiate the ceremony with the Sultans Car Club serving as the Best Men and Brides Maids.

Other ingredients of the night include: Art in all mediums, Millikan High School Jazz Band, Elvis, comedy, Gallery Expo, classic cars, Timstrument, tarot cards, free books, speed light workshop, photo booth, anniversary parties, face painting, jazz, rockabilly, doo wop, Indian heritage & henna, Jones Gallery, performance painter Norton Wisdom and the Neon Hunter Collective, antiques, piano man, Big Red Bus, the Knolls Ranger…elephants, fish market, JPL testing…or not.

7th District Councilmember James Johnson will host First Books at First Fridays at the Dana Branch Library at 5:30 p.m. with special guest reader is City Manager Pat West. Kids will also be entertained by a magician.

When the businesses start to close, First Fridays After Hours begins. Nino’s Italian Restaurant will feature music, open mic contest, plus late night dining and beverages. The Factory also goes late into the night with food, drinks, and Reggae music. You can also hang out late at EJ Malloys. Why go home early? Stay out and continue the energy.
