Free Bike Safety Program Prepares Young Riders

Councilwoman Suzie Price is partnering with the Long Beach Fire Department Lifeguards and Police Department to provide free bike safety training for Junior Guards participants and any other 9- to 17-year-old residents wanting to learn about bike safety.
The Police Department will educate young citizens about biking enforcement rules and how to properly secure their bicycles to avoid theft. Bicycle identification etching will also be provided, so please bring your bicycle.
This two day program will take place at the 54th and Ocean parking lot. Participation on both days is recommended. No reservations are necessary to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Antonella Schaub at 562-570-6300 or email at Antonella.Schaub@longbeach.gov.
Bicycle Safety Preparedness for Youth 9-17 Years Old will take place at the parking lot at 54th Pl. and Ocean Blvd. on the following dates:
- June 30th from 9:15 am – 10:00 am or 1:15 pm – 2:00 pm
- July 1st from 9:15 am – 10:00 am or 1:15 pm – 2:00 pm
