Free Health Screenings this weekend at Sam’s Club

Southern California is well into the first month of Spring and smack-dab in the middle of April showers, so it’s easy to blame the weather if you’re not feeling much like a Spring Chicken. However, if it’s more than the weather that’s holding you down, maybe it’s time for a quick, health check.
Sam’s Clubs nationwide are offering free Health Screenings this weekend where guests can get walk-in access to vital health tests that check blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose intake and body mass. Several locations will also be set up to take bone density tests in order to check for osteoporosis. The screenings are free for members and non-members.
Results from the health tests will be available immediately and guests will receive printed results to send or share with their personal physician.
Health screenings will take place this Saturday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Health screenings will be offered for all ages, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
There is a Sam’s Club in the Long Beach Town Center at 7480 Carson Street. Call (562)425-0662 for hours and directions. Find other locations by using the Sam’s Club store finder tool: http://www2.samsclub.com/clublocator/Default.aspx.
Those interested in receiving a bone density test should visit the Sam’s Club at 4901 Santa Anita Avenue, El Monte, CA 91731.
During the Health Savings Check-up events nationwide, attendees can check prices on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications against other retailers. Sam’s Club guarantees it will beat any competitor price on branded prescriptions. Membership is not required to use their pharmacy.
