Residents Invited to Attend A Free Workshop “Creating and Sustaining a Nonprofit”

for the Conceptual Restoration Plan of the Los Cerritos WetlandsResidents are invited to learn about “Creating and Sustaining a Nonprofit,” at a free workshop on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Ave. Free parking is available behind the building and on the street. Translation will be provided in Khmer and Spanish.

The workshop will be presented by Karen Reside, Principal with Reside and Associates. Topics include appropriateness of becoming a nonprofit; the process for creating a nonprofit; and reporting requirements for maintaining nonprofit status.

Attendees are invited to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist our Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.

The City of Long Beach is dedicated to promoting residents with resources to address quality of life concerns in an effort to create and maintain clean, safe and healthy neighborhoods.
