Fuego Offers Party Packages and Front-Row Seats to Fireworks on New Year’s Eve

new years eveEnjoy New Year’s Eve seaside at Fuego at Hotel Maya featuring a selection from three party packages, four VIP sections, and a five-course dinner all topped off by sensational fireworks from the Queen Mary beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.

Fuego, the modern, Latin infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge at Hotel Maya offers a sensational setting for New Year’s dining and partying at the water’s edge featuring 13-foot-tall glass walls that fully retract with seating inside and on the patio area. Fuego’s stunning open-air views include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and the Queen Mary.

Fuego New Year’s Eve Party Packages

Fuego live entertainment is presented by “Custom Made” featuring Latin Funk, Motown, R&B, Classics and DJ Tim spinning today and yesterday’s top hits. Fuego’s three party packages include:

Fuego Package One offers three seatings at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $100 per person. The party includes the Fuego five-course dinner with a glass of complimentary Poema Cava or sparkling cider and entrance to the party with live entertainment and DJ. Seating up to 7:30 p.m. will then be moved to the Luna Solstice lounge that includes no assigned seating, party favors, a champagne toast and complimentary parking.  Guests will enjoy spectacular views of the fireworks from the Queen Mary at midnight.

Fuego Package Two offers three seatings at 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at a cost of $150 per person. The celebration includes Fuego’s five-course dinner with a glass of complimentary Poema Cava or sparkling cider and entrance to the party with live entertainment and DJ. Guests will enjoy reserved seating in Fuego and patio, party favors, a champagne toast and complimentary parking.  Guests will have unparalleled views of the fireworks from the Queen Mary at midnight.

Fuego Package Three features a Fuego cover charge from 9 p.m. to midnight at a cost of $40 per person. The festivities include light Hors d’oeuvre from 9-11 p.m. with a glass of complimentary Poema Cava or sparkling cider and entrance to the patio with live entertainment and DJ. Guests will have access to Fuego with no assigned seating, party favors, a champagne toast and complimentary parking. Guests will have sensational views of the fireworks from the Queen Mary at midnight.

Fuego’s four VIP Sections feature separate exclusive areas specifically created for private party enjoyment including the Cabana that seats 10 to 15 people at $250; the Tequila Room that seats 10 to 15 people at $150; the Fire Pit that seats 20 people at $350; and the Mesa Dos Lounge that seats 10 people at $150.

Fuego Five-Course New Year’s Eve Dinner

Fuego’s Executive Chef Victor Juarez has created a delicious five-course meal designed especially for the New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests will enjoy a Starter featuring a choice of Diver Scallop Salad with jumbo seared scallops, wild greens, endive, frisee, crispy pancetta, cracked pepper and whole grain mustard vinaigrette; Maryland Lump Crab Cocktail with fresh horseradish, truffle crème fraiche; or Port Cherries and Green Salad with red oak and wild greens bundle of lettuces, port soaked cherries, candied walnuts, montrachet goat cheese with spiced citrus vinaigrette.

Soup follows the Starter and features Wild Mushroom Bisque with brandy cappuccino crème and essence of porcini.

A dinning Intermezzo is presented before the Entrée featuring a choice of Petit Filet Mignon and Maine Lobster Tail with fig and shallot confit, wild mushrooms, and cotija cheese soft white polenta; Australian Rack of Lamb with aji panca chili mustard in crust lamb, Peruvian purple potato and chorizo sausage ragout; Chilean Seabass with crispy skin seared, roasted shallot buerre blanc, kaffir lime oil, arugula, mizuna, seafood salad and vegetable herb cous cous; or Champagne Vegetable Risotto with tomato, spinach, wild mushrooms, cipollini onions, and Parmigiano-reggiano English pea coulis.

A delicious dessert selection includes a choice of 2012 Chocolate MarquisDark with bitter sweet chocolate tower, chocolate bourbon sauce, roasted chocolate pecans and wild berry coulis; or Tahitian Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée with homemade egg custard crusted caramelized sugar and fresh berries.

A complimentary glass of Poema Cava Brut or sparkling cider is served along with Fuego beverages including coffee, decaffeinated coffee or tea.

Fuego New Year’s Eve five-course dinner is served from 5–9 p.m. and costs $150 per person. Tax and tips are not included and an 18 percent service charge will be added to all parties of six people or more.
