The Millikan High School Community of Musicians, Artists and Social Scientists (COMPASS) Boosters are holding a Dinner-Dance event in support of Millikan’s Performing Arts Department at the Gaslamp Restaurant, 6251 East Pacific Coast Highway on February 27, 2011.

The event will support the March 3-5 school spring musical, “Hello Dolly,” produced by a cast and crew of over 100 Millikan students. While the show will “still go on,” it is only with the commitment of the Millikan COMPASS faculty and boosters to raise $2,500 to fill a financial gap created when mid-year budget reductions forced the elimination of funds for the program. The COMPASS faculty and boosters believe that participation in the theater arts is a cornerstone of an enriching high school experience.

The Gaslamp Dinner-Dance will feature a gourmet dinner, dancing to DJ spun records and an exciting silent auction with opportunities to bid on a Palms Springs vacation, a beach cruiser bike, and themed gift baskets with food and wine, crafts, health and beauty, and entertainment items. Drawings will be held for Disneyland Park Hopper passes and other exciting items.

The COMPASS Dinner-Dance event in support of Millikan’s Performing Arts Department is Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 6pm-9pm at the Gaslamp Restaurant, 6251 East Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, 90803.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person and can be purchased by a check made out to:
