2010-02-21 · By Editor
Gallery Expo will unveil their newest art exhibit with a reception during the March First Fridays event in Bixby Knolls. The paintings of Richard William Blanchard will be showcased in the 1800-square-foot gallery space March 5–27.
Blanchard is a conceptual artist. He was born and raised in New England and attended art school in Maine. His original style draws from many influences ranging from expressionism to surrealism to abstract landscapes to Art Deco Portraiture. Blanchard’s paintings, while seemingly ethereal, are grounded in nature; often depicting the progress of man and his impact on the earth—invariably serving as symbols for environmental awareness.
