Long Beach Gas & Oil Director & Long Beach Animal Care Services to address the Wrigley Association

wrigleyOn Monday, October 4, 2010 at Veterans Park, the Wrigley Association will host Christopher Garner, the Director of the Long Beach Gas & Oil Department and Michelle Quigley, Chief Operations Officer for the Long Beach animal care Services.

Residents of the Wrigley neighborhood are concerned about the safety of the gas lines in connection with the recent events in San Bruno, will have the opportunity to have their concerns addressed by Christopher Garner, of the Long Beach Gas & Oil Department.

Michelle Quigley, Chief Operations Officer for the Long Beach Animal Care Services. She is coming to speak on the new licensing regulations and will provide on registration at the meeting providing people bring vaccination certificates and sign up that evening. Residents would simply need to show proof of a current rabies vaccination and proof of spaying or neutering (to receive the altered license fee discount). Altered dog licenses cost $20.00 and unaltered dog licenses cost $90.00. Cat licenses are still free until January 1, 2011.

There will also be entertainment from Stearns Musical Group.

The Wrigley Association meeting is Monday, October 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Veterans Park, 101 E. 28TH Street, Long Beach, 90806.

The Wrigley Association is a neighborhood association dedicated to improving the lives in the Wrigley area of Long Beach. The general meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the Veteran’s Park Social Hall, 101 East 28th Street. (If the first Monday is a holiday, meeting will be held on the second Monday of the month). Child Care and parking are free. Refreshments are served.
