If you are a dislocated worker who is receiving, or have exhausted, Unemployment Insurance benefits, this no-fee eleven-week hands-on construction skills training class may be just what you need so you are ready to work when infrastructure monies become available in the state.
Classes will be held Monday, beginning April 27, thru Friday from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm at the Center for Working Families in Long Beach and at the Harbor Occupational Center in San Pedro.
Participants will receive certifications for Hazardous Waste Worker Protection and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), OSHA 30 including Traffic Control and Confined Space, CPR/First Aid, and Trenching and Shoring.
Desirable qualifications, required by some Union Apprenticeships, include GED/High School Diploma, a valid California driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
