GO-FAME youth theatre presents “Dear Edwina” at Tucker Auditorium
2009-11-11 · By Editor
GO-FAME, a Long Beach youth theater company featuring local talent (ages 8-18), will be presenting Dear Edwina, a musical that celebrates friendship and family from the award-winning songwriting team of Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich.
The story is a delightful show within a show. Every week at her home in Paw Paw, Michigan, Edwina Spoonapple responds to letters from kids in worrisome dilemmas, such as how to set a table or proper birthday party etiquette. With the help of her singing and dancing friends, Edwina delivers her best advice in a fully staged musical production. But when they have the chance to fill the last spot at the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza Festival, Edwina and her quirky friends must put on their best show ever, much like a musical Dr. Phil with tuneful toe tapping numbers.
“Dear Edwina” is recommended for all ages and will be presented at Tucker Auditorium (2221 Argonne Avenue Long Beach CA) on November 14, 20 & 21, 2009. Show times are Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 advance purchase and $15 at the door. Order by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Order online at www.gofame.eventbrite.com (credit card only, additional fees apply).
