Goodwill To Host Seminar On “Charitable Giving & Estate Tax Laws”

GoodwillSOLAC is hosting a free seminar on “Charitable Giving & Estate Tax Laws” on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the main facility in Long Beach. The featured speakers will be Jim Normandin, President of Memorial Medical Center Greater Los Angeles Area and John T. Anderson, Esq. Law Office of John T. Anderson.
The free seminar is Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the GoodwillSOLAC’s Multi Purpose Room, 800 West Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, 90806. Continental breakfast will be provided.

The goal of the seminar is to provide community members with an opportunity to learn valuable information regarding estate tax and to plan financial steps for charitable giving. Attendees will gain insight and learn new strategies to make informed decisions in the following areas including estate planning tax issues, bequests, charitable trusts, HIPPA requirements, and much more.
Goodwill serves the people of southern Los Angeles County as a community resource providing training and employment placement services to individuals with barriers to employment. Last year, GoodwillSOLAC provided services for more than 4,300 people, trained more than 1,200 people, and placed 151 people in competitive employment.
