Grand Prix season revs up with Committee of 300’s Kick-off Party

All of Long Beach is invited to come witness the kick off as the city officially enters Toyota Grand Prix season.

The Committee of 300 will hold the 2010 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Kick Off party on Thursday, February 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at V20 nightclub downtown.

As part of the festivities an authentic IRL show car will be on display.

There will be music, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar, a silent auction and opportunity drawings. Packages for the Paddock Club, Foundation Ball and Golf Tournament will be available.

Special guests will be Mayor Bob Foster and Jim Michaelian, President and CEO of the Grand Prix Association. Party-goers will also have a chance to meet the 2009 Toyota Grand Prix princess.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach will take place April 16-18. Construction began on Tuesday on the famed 11-turn, 1.97-mile street circuit that the racers will travel in their quest for top speed.
