Residents are invited to the weekly “Greener Good Farmer’s Market.” This is the first project of the Kaiser Permanente HEAL Zone Initiative, in collaboration with the Coalition For A Healthy North Long Beach, Councilmember Steven Neal, and managed by Greener Good Farmer’s Markets.
The market features artists, live music, fresh fruit and vegetables and hot food vendors, and more available for purchase.
The market also accepts EBT, credit, debit, and cash as forms of payment.
The North Long Beach community continues weekly “Greener Good” farmer’s market to promote healthy eating and active living. The next Greener Good – North Farmer’s Market is October 10, 2012 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at 609 E. Artesia Boulevard (Corner of Atlantic Avenue & Artesia Boulevard)
The Coalition for a Healthy North Long Beach, through the Kaiser HEAL Zone Initiative, provided promotional materials, while the Office of Councilmember Steven Neal assisted with the activation of a vacant lot for a more desirable community land use.
