Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for Craftsman Village Park Saturday, July 28th

The office of 1st District City Councilmember Robert Garcia and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine invite the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Craftsman Village Park on Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. at Craftsman Village Park is located at 851 Orange Avenue in Long Beach. Light refreshments will be served.

The new .34-acre park will serve the immediate park-deficient neighborhood, the Craftsman Village Historic District. The park will include craftsman inspired fencing and entry features, native plantings, trees, walkways, lighting, benches and picnic tables as well as a small turf area and play elements. The project is funded by a $722,465 grant from the Proposition 84 Urban Parks Grant.
