Groundwork Fitness to Host Grand Opening Celebration Today

Join Groundwork Fitness in it’s ribbon cutting ceremony with Vice Mayor Robert Garcia today, Monday December 16, 2013 at 3 p.m. 333 Pine Ave. Downtown Long Beach 90802. The event will also give away gift certificates and prizes.

Groundwork Fitness makes it’s move from Signal Hill to Downtown Long Beach, 333 Pine Ave. This unique gym experience not only services fitness needs, but nutritional needs as well as the need to have fun in an active way with friends.

Owner Giovanna Ferraro was a previous firefighter and health teacher who brings experience and energy to the health industry. “It’s all about the community and energy, they want to bring people together and enjoy fitness with positivity.”

Groundwork also offers SHIFT Training, which allows all fitness levels to participate in fun interactive classes with trainers who progress all levels of clients appropriately and safely. Nutrition 101 offers clients an easy-to-understand points on how to maintain good eating habits without feeling like they have to give up good food.

Camp Challenge Me is a kids program to help keep our kids and teens active with fun interactive classes. They also give back to the community by participating in beach clean ups and feeding the homeless events.

Owner Giovanna believes strongly in giving back, “To successfully promote health and fitness, they must find areas within our community that need assistance in understanding the basics… human kindness.”
