On Wednesday, the Kemp for Council campaign received the support of Jim Hankla, former City Manager, and a prominent leader in the City of Long Beach.
Hankla had this to say: “I’ve known Carl for years. While I was City Manager, I hired him to oversee government affairs, and he quickly became my go-to person, not just for City matters, but for state and federal issues as well. He knows how to get the job done, and will work tirelessly to make sure it’s done right.”
Hankla served as Long Beach City Manager for 12 years, establishing a long record of distinguished achievement.
“I am proud to be recognized and supported by a leader who I’ve worked with so closely,” said Kemp. “Like Jim Hankla, I am proud of this City and want to see it become even better. I will work hard to deliver this vision to the people of the 5th District.”
