Health Screenings at Sam’s Club this weekend
2010-10-05 · By Editor
The upcoming health screenings will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy. Sam’s Club will be hosting free health screenings that are open to the public – members and nonmembers can attend. The free screenings are valued at more than $150 with one of the lowest-cost flu shot options also available on site. To find a Sam’s Club near you that is hosting screenings, you can use this health events tool.
These health screenings will allow you to get your cholesterol, glucose intake and blood pressure checked. Some Sam’s Club locations will even be set up to take bone density tests in order to check for osteoporosis. For parents, particularly as we are in the midst of cold and flu season, this is a great opportunity to meet with health professionals and receive health information to share with your family. In addition to the screenings, Sam’s Club has announced the launch of Making Sense of Your Medications , which encourages patients to check in with pharmacists on their medications. This means that members and non-members can bring all their medications, no matter where they originally had the prescription filled, to a Sam’s Club during regular pharmacy hours for a free check-up.
