Councilmember Steven Neal Presents “Healthy Kids and Teens Day” Health Fair

9th district Steve Neal Ninth District Long Beach City Councilmember Steven Neal in partnership with Long Beach Health Department and others invites Long Beach families and friends to a “Healthy Kids and Teens Day” health fair Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Ramona Park.

The participants will include: child obesity prevention, finger printing, immunization, lead testing, asthma education, low cost insurance, dental screening, HIV screening/AIDS awareness, drug and alcohol prevention, and mentoring programs.

The event will also include exciting physical fitness demonstrations, such as aerobics, hip-hop dancing, and proper weight lifting techniques.

The Healthy Kids and Teens Day Health Fair is Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Ramona Park, 3301 E. 65th Street, Long Beach, CA 90805.
Head out for a day of education, fun, and games, as well as an opportunity prize drawing.

“The health and wellness of our youth is a high priority for North Long Beach,” Neal said. “This Saturday, you won’t find a better reason to bring the kids out the house.”
