His Little Feet, Inc., (HLF) the nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating poverty by providing all children with properly fitting shoes, is hosting a back to school shoe drive from August 10th – 21st in Long Beach. They are gladly collecting new or gently used shoes in sizes ranging from 10T to adult 10. These shoes are reconditioned as necessary and promptly distributed to students at Jane Adams Elementary School in north Long Beach. HLF is also collecting school uniforms and children’s books for distribution.

“We’re stomping out poverty in our community one pair of shoes at a time”, Hali Wolf, HLF founder said. “I’ve seen children in the economically impacted areas of Long Beach attending school with shoes that were very badly worn, held together with tape or rubber bands or didn’t fit properly because they were too small. I have received dozens of letters expressing the students’ hardships and their heartfelt gratitude to us for providing shoes in their time of need”, Wolf recalls from HLF’s inception in January of 2014.

HLF is extremely fortunate to partner with the following organizations that are providing drop off locations:

  • Bella Salon of Naples – 5852 E Naples Plaza, Long Beach, CA 90803
  • Dean Anthony Salon – 5287 E 2nd St, Long Beach, CA 90803
  • Salon Drew – 11110 Los Alamitos Blvd #105, Los Alamitos, CA 90720
  • Parkcrest Christian Church – 3936 Woodruff Ave. Long Beach, CA 90808
  • Bar Method – 6695 E Pacific Coast Hwy #125, Long Beach, CA 90803
  • Baja Sonora – 2940 Clark Ave. Long Beach, CA 90815

Under Gods guidance, HLF was born out of an overwhelming desire to fight poverty and reduce homelessness in Long Beach. HLF is a grassroots organization ran by family, friends and volunteers and relies on generous donations and financial support from the community. Since January of 2014, HLF has donated over 1220 new and reconditioned pairs of shoes, 225 uniforms and 550 children’s books to local children in need. HLF’s immediate goal is to provide shoes to Long Beach Unified School District students in need. Their ultimate goal is to spread the donation program to economically impacted schools throughout Southern California.

HLF is going green and is committed to saving the environment by reducing the impact to our landfills.
