Holiday Toy Drive Needs More Than 300 Toys for Delivery Dec 13-14

After filling food needs for 102 families for Thanksgiving with a total of 498 children and adults, For The Child now focuses on Toys for the holidays.
“We have over 300 children who will otherwise not experience a visit from Santa this season,” explained Denise Dahlhausen, For The Child’s development director. “We rely on the generosity of our donors and the community to help make the magic happen for these kids.”
“A recent benefit at The Laugh Factory brought in almost 200 toys for this holiday season, and the need continues! The combined efforts of special events, local business, school and group donations as well as the generosity of individuals always helps us fill the need. We are optimistic that they will again.”
New, unwrapped toys can be brought to For The Child at 4565 California Ave., in Bixby Knolls. Toy delivery will be the weekend of December 13 and 14.
Since 1974 For The Child has been strengthening families and making a difference in the lives of children who have faced abuse or neglect. Safeguarding these children and working with children and families to provide the tools (and hope!) to heal and to lead safe, happy, and productive lives direct our program development and delivery.
