The 6th annual Homeland Cultural Center “Dance Fest” will take place on Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at the Center Theater in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd.

DanceFest is an annual showcase of the diverse performing ensembles in residence at the award-winning Homeland Cultural Center in MacArthur Park. The groups scheduled to perform include West African drum and dance, Aztec Dance, Cambodian dance and martial arts, Micronesian music and dance, Ballet Folklorico Maria, Tepeyolotl Aztec Dance, ancient Kymer martial arts, Homeland Funkstylers and Orlando Greenhill and Sound Army. 

This performance is free to the community, but tickets are required. Tickets may be requested by calling Jim Ruggirello, Cultural Program Supervisor at Homeland Cultural Center, at (562) 570-1655.

The performance is expected to last approximately two hours. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine and Partners of Parks will co-sponsor the event, which is supported by grants from the Arts Council for Long Beach and the Dwight Stuart Youth Foundation.
