Homicide Detectives Asking For Info Regarding Murder Investigation

crime-scene-tape murder Omar Brown,On Saturday, September 25, 2010 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Long Beach Police Officers responded to the area of Martin Luther King Avenue and 10th Street regarding a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived they found that Omar Brown, a 19-year-old resident of Long Beach had been shot numerous times in the torso area. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the Brown was standing outside of a residence in 1000 block of E. 10th Street when the suspect walked by and shot Brown numerous times. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. The shooting is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
