The Hope and Freedom Film Festival is providing a free, fun and interactive getaway for individuals and families alike to become involved with their community by way of youthful creativity.
The mission of the Hope and Freedom Film Festival is to help create a society where all individuals have equal rights. Films from across California have been submitted and critiqued to guarantee an event that not only has aspects of entertainment, but also meaning.
The Hope and Freedom Film Festival is ensuring that young voices be heard in this pursuit, by way of motivation, purpose, and creativity. Messages that challenge the notions of hatred, segregation, discrimination, and or oppressive conditions help heal similar experiences and inspire more members of our communities to get involved, while providing hope for equality.
The Hope and Freedom Film Festival will take place at the Art Theater on May 22. The doors will open at 1 p.m. for 11 hours of enlightenment and entertainment.
This event is sponsored in part by the NAACP Long Beach Chapter. For more information about the film festival email HopeandFreedomFilmFestival@gmail.com.
