Hotel Maya Honors 40-year Employees Vicenta Martinez and Celsa Gonzalez

Hotel Maya honored two 40-year employees for exceptional service at a ceremony on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Hotel Maya’s Jardin De Palmeras waterfront events area.
Kambiz “Kam” Babaoff, Chairman of Ensemble Real Estate Solutions, which owns Hotel Maya – a DoubleTree by Hilton in Long Beach, led the ceremony and presented each employee with a plaque and a bonus check, including:
– Vicenta Martinez, room attendant, hired on January 26, 1976.
– Celsa Gonzalez, housekeeping supervisor, hired on August 23, 1976.
“Rarely do you get a chance to honor long term employees, and to be able to share in the recognition of not one, but two 40 year employees is a remarkable opportunity,” said Babaoff. “We are very proud of their service and grateful for their time throughout all these years. It’s a pleasure to be with them on their special day.”
Hotel Maya opened as the Queensbay Hilton in 1974 two years prior to Martinez and Gonzalez joining the team and continues to be one of Long Beach’s top destinations for business and leisure travel, meeting, events and weddings. USA Today ranked Hotel Maya number 4 of the “Top 10 Best Boutique Hotels in Southern California.”
