Long Beach residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronic-waste during a free roundup on Saturday, March 24, from 9 am to 3 pm at Long Beach Veteran’s Stadium, Clark Avenue and Conant Street. Enter from Conant Street only.
“Household hazardous waste and electronic waste roundups are a great way for residents to properly dispose of harmful items without polluting neighborhoods or contaminating ground water and our oceans,” Mayor Bob Foster said.
Materials such as used motor oil, turpentine, acid or lye-based cleaners, household and car batteries, pesticides, computers, televisions and expired pharmaceuticals will all be accepted. No tires, explosives or ammunition will be accepted.
The City of Long Beach is hosting the hazardous waste and electronic-waste roundup with Los Angeles County. For more information, visit www.CleanLA.com or call (888) CLEAN-LA.
