Inaugural Long Beach Heart Walk Planned for November in Shoreline Village

The American Heart Association invites the community to the Long Beach Heart Walk at the Shoreline Village in the heart of Long Beach on Nov. 10, 2012. The event, sponsored by Subway, Jenny Craig and Union Bank, aims raise $300,000 for the fight against heart disease and stroke – the nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers. The Heart Walk was created to build healthier lives by promoting healthy habits, such as walking, as a regular part of life.
Event attractions include a 5K walk/run, 1-mile survivor route, kids fun zone, live entertainment, health expo, free blood pressure screenings, CPR demonstration and giveaways.
