Jewlicious Festival celebrates with 3 days of contemporary Jewish culture

The sixth annual Jewlicious Music, Arts and Culture Festival took place over the weekend at the Alpert Jewish Community Center in Long Beach.
The three-day festival, which is the nation’s largest Jewish student and young professionals weekend, showcased musicians, comedians and other artists producing contemporary Jewish culture.
One of the most talked about guest of the Jewlicious Festival was WBA Super Welterweight Champion Yuri Foreman, who taught boxing workshops. In addition, Grammy-Nominated recording artist Matisyahu gave a special presentation to attendees.
Other performers and presenters included: musical acts Moshav, Electro Morocco, Basya Schechter of Pharaoh’s Daughter and Kosha Dillz Band; comedians Lizzy Cooperman, star of “Girls Behaving Badly” Kira Soltanovich and Smooth E (Eric Schwartz); and presenters Noah Alper, founder of Noah’s Bagels; Talya Lev, an Israeli human rights activist; Chaim Davids, chef of The Kitchen Table and Lee Weisman, the former Librarian of the Dalai Lama.
