Khmer Media TV is holding a relaunch and fundraising party to celebrate its new mobile application for accessing video news content. All community members are invited to join this event on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 6 pm, at La Lune Palace in Long Beach. Those attending will hear how Khmer Media TV can help promote their concerns, whether related to education, business, health, or other issues.
Founded in 2003 by Mony Sing, Khmer Media TV is dedicated to connecting the Cambodian community worldwide through media and sharing of our diaspora’s stories. Sing formerly worked with Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for California’s 37th District. She is an administrative officer and ranking major in the U.S. Volunteers-Joint Services Command’s Medical Reserves Corps as well as being involved with Cambodian Orphanage International.
Through her affiliations and experiences, Sing has come to understand the power of engaging others by giving them a voice and spreading awareness of relevant happenings. Civic leaders, students, professionals, and all interested citizens are welcome to come find out what this Cambodian-owned/operated studio is doing to connect those in Long Beach and beyond through multimedia news production.
