Learn Your Rights as a Landlord or Tenant at Workshop Tonight

landlord tenant workshopThe Anaheim Street Community Police Center invites the community to a workshop to learn about Fair Housing Laws Tonight, February 15, at the Mark Twain Neighborhood Library Community Room.

The City of Long Beach is dedicated to providing residents with resources to address quality of life concerns in an effort to create and maintain clean, safe and healthy neighborhoods.

Maria Benitez, Outreach Coordinator of Fair Housing Foundation, will give an overview of general Fair Housing procedures, including:

  • Rights and Responsibilities
  • Leases and Notices, Rules and Regulations
  • Specific Concerns: Families with Children, Occupancy Standards
  • Obligations and Guidelines: Late Fees, Security Deposits, Rent Increases

The Fair Housing Laws workshop is tonight, February 15; 5:00 to 6:30 pm, at the Mark Twain Neighborhood Library Community Room, 1401 E. Anaheim St. Free parking is available in the library parking lot.  Translation will be provided in Khmer and Spanish.
