Last Days to Enter City of Long Beach Energy Efficiency Opportunity Drawing

This week is the last week to enter the City of Long Beach’s Energy Efficiency Opportunity Drawing, which closes on Friday November 19, 2010. One grand prize worth $5,000, and one runner-up prize worth $800, will be awarded in each of the nine City Council districts for home energy makeovers.

The Energy Efficiency Opportunity Drawing is a partnership between the City and Southern California Edison (SCE) and is designed to encourage Long Beach residents to save energy and money and to provide visibility and best practices for residential energy efficiency installations.

To be eligible, participants must be a Long Beach resident, a SCE customer and a homeowner. To enter the opportunity drawing, applicants will need to take a free home energy survey online and fill out a brief application.
