Last SaturdaysShops Along 4th Street (from Junipero To Cherry) Host A FREE Evening Of Art & Entertainment

For all you folks stayin’ local for this Memorial Day Weekend, we got a bunch of fun things to do along 4th Street during the day and eve, from live music to outdoor cinema! Stay tuned to for last minute additions!

Last Saturdays on 4th: MAY 28th 4-8 pm (*unless otherwise indicated!)

“Last Saturdays” highlights include:

• Art Theatre (2025 E. 4th; 562-438-5435): “The Hangover 2!” 7 & 9PM!

• 4th Street Vine (2142 E. 4th; 562-343-5463): ART: “Hope, Ceremony & Chants”: An Art Installation by Michael Stearns and Danny Hughes; MUSIC: Eon Burchman Jazz Band (8-11 pm); FOOD: Dos Chinos Asian/Hispanic fusion food truck

• Atlantic Studio (2310 E. 4th; 562-438-8934): 25% off sale on all retail products!

• Blu Button (2112 East 4th; 562-433-8780) live performance by Logan McConnell (employee of Number Nine and Imonni) at 7pm! Also, for a limited time all purchases over $100 will receive a free haircut by the Loft on Broadway.

• Elan Collection (408 St. Louis Ave.; 562-434-1895): Offering 30% off wall art!

• Lil Devils (2218 E. 4th; 562-439-0555): Miranda Photography will be taking portraits. $25 for a 10-minute session which includes a 5 photos, 8 wallets and one 5X7. Book a time slot via email: 11am to 3pm

NEW! • Luther Burbank Elementary School (535 Junipero Ave. @ 4th Street): Free Outdoor Movie Screening and Art Show: Art Fair: 4pm; “To Kill A Mockinbird” screening 8PM!

Our first monthly installment of “Watch This Book”, presented by Lola’s Mexican Cuisine, {open}, Alfredo’s Beach Club, and Laughing Stock Development! Celebrating family-friendly classics that are adaptations of beloved literary works, this series will also feature artists and exhibitors. PLEASE NOTE: no pets, alcohol, or smoking will be permitted on school grounds. In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled.

• Shelter Surf Shop & Residence Gallery (2148 E 4th; 562-439-0022): Live Music with performances by Tall Tales and Rumspringa. 7pm. In Residence Gallery hosts new new opening featuring “art on wheels” from the Long Beach Bicycle Salon.

• The Center (2017 E. 4th, 562-434-4455): The Center will be open for Yoga classes every Saturday from 12-2 starting May 28th.

• Vintage Collective (2122 E 4th; 562-433-8699): An intimate evening with poet/musician Exene Cervenka Live! 6PM. $10 Tickets are limited, and are available in store only.

About 4th Street: Dubbed “Retro Row”, 4th Street is Long Beach, CA’s Independent Shopping & Dining District! Featured recently in New York magazine, as well as in Lucky, Sunset, New York Times (Travel Section, October 2007), and Los Angeles Magazine’s “Best of LA” Issue (August 2008). The 4th Street District stretches from Junipero to Cherry Streets, offering over 30 unique shops and restaurants to choose from, and is also home to the newly renovated Art Theatre.
