Candidates for Long Beach City Council, District 1 will be participating in an information forum on March 6, sponsored by the Long Beach Central Project Area Council, Inc. (LB CPAC). It will begin at 6:30pm at Stevenson Elementary School.
This year City Council District 1 – which encompasses a large portion of downtown, the west side industrial area, Washington School neighborhood and the Port of Long Beach – is electing a new City Council person. The current District 1 representative is running for another City office.
All four candidates are expected to attend to introduce themselves and field questions submitted by the audience. Those candidates are, in ballot order with official ballot designation:
- Ricardo Linarez, City Council Deputy
- Misi Tagaloa, Pastor – Teacher
- Lena Gonzalez, City Council Deputy
- Pilar Pinel, Business / CEO
This is one of the very few opportunities for residents to become acquainted with all four candidates in one event. All District 1 residents and business owners are strongly encouraged to attend as well as others from throughout the City.
The District 1 City Council Candidates Forum is Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6:30pm at Stevenson Elementary School, 515 Lime Avenue (6th & Atlantic).
