long-beach-city-sealThe City of Long Beach Department of Community Development has issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) to solicit participants in the Nonprofit Assistance Program (NAP).  Qualified respondents must be nonprofit agencies with at least two (2) years experience in providing public services in Long Beach.

The NAP will provide forgivable loans at 0% interest to qualified property owners to improve facilities occupied by public service agencies.

The funding amount for this fiscal year has been reduced from $400,000 to $200,000.  Due to this reduction, there will be fewer agencies that will receive funding.  Additionally, the loan amounts have been reduced, the minimum loan amount is $5,000 and the maximum loan amount is $25,000.

Applications may be obtained from the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Avenue, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. beginning Monday, September 14, 2009.  Applications will not be mailed in response to telephone requests.  Applications are also available on the internet at:
