The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency announced Friday that Tony Foster has been appointed as Redevelopment Officer for the North Redevelopment Project Area.
“Tony has a strong background in redevelopment, including working in our Central Project Area as a Project Manager,” said Amy Bodek, Redevelopment Manager. “Some of Tony’s projects there included the relocation, rehabilitation and resale of four Drake Park/Willmore City Historic District Homes; the assemblage of land for the Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Campus Expansion; and major streetscape enhancement projects in the Magnolia Industrial and Wrigley Village areas. His experience, combined with both his legal expertise and his familiarity with Long Beach, really set him apart as the best candidate for this position.”
The North Long Beach Redevelopment Project Area was adopted on July 16, 1996. Projects currently in development include the new Fire Station 12, the North Village development, and several new parks for the area.
