Long Beach back to school
His Little Feet, Inc., (HLF) the nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating poverty by providing all children with properly fitting shoes, is hosting a back to school shoe drive from August 10th – 21st in Long Beach.
The Helpful Honda Guys in Blue are bringing their Random Acts of Helpfulness to local schools.
Making sure kids start the school year off with the necessary supplies is just another way the Guys in blue are helping out in the community.
City Place Long Beach offers families and students back-to-school deals on top items at the more than 37 retail, specialty, entertainment and dining options ranging from apparel and shoes to supplies and electronics, among others.
Mayor Robert Garcia and Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, along with the local nonprofits What’s Next Now.Org and New Life Beginnings, gave away 1,200 backpacks filled with school supplies at the 6th District Back to School Fair, this past Saturday, August 9th, at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School.
