DLBA to Honor Local Business Owners at Annual Celebrate Downtown Event

dlba-celebrate-downtown1 The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) will host its annual Celebrate Downtown event on Thursday, February 13 from 5 – 9 p.m. on Pine Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets. With the theme Celebrating the Growth and Revitalization of Downtown, this event will highlight the progress made in Downtown Long Beach, with an emphasis on Pine Avenue, and honor individuals who made a significant investment and impact in Downtown.

Stephanie Bryson, First CSULB Graduate Awarded Rhodes Scholar

bryson-stephanie-sq Stephanie Bryson Stephanie Bryson, a 2011 graduate of California State University, Long Beach, has been named a Rhodes Scholar, the first graduate of the university to receive the internationally renowned award. The Rhodes Trust named a total of 80 recipients worldwide, 32 from the United States, in this year’s class of Rhodes Scholars who will begin their studies at Oxford University in October 2012.
