Long Beach Bluff Park
Bluff Park Neighborhood Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, will host a fundraising benefit on September 17 for its Historic Lamppost Project with the vision of “bringing lamppost history back” to the Bluff Park Historic District.
Long Beach business Sasha’s – Living with Style will host a fundraiser benefitting the Bluff Park Historic Lamppost Project, which is an historic preservation and community benefit project of the Bluff Park Neighborhood Association (BPNA), a nonprofit entity.
Jonathan Glasgow will receive the Long Beach Heritage 2014 Preservationist of the Year Award
The public is invited to join Long Beach Heritage as it celebrates the 2014 Award winners for excellence in Architecture, Preservation and Restoration to be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Grand Salon of the historic Queen Mary.
Friends of Bixby Park will partner with neighborhood associations On Broadway, Alamitos Beach, North Alamitos Beach, Bluff Heights and Bluff Park to host Bixby Park Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, October 16th from 6:30 p.m.
The Beachrunners’ Inn is a spacious single-family home built in 1913 that has been restored to highlight the characteristics found in Craftsman homes of the period. In just a few weeks, Long Beach residents and visitors will have a chance to discover the history of one of Long Beach’s oldest and most beloved Bed and Breakfast’s at a party celebrating their 100th anniversary.
Organizers believe that immigration reform needs to protect families and hopes their vigil will bring more attention to the cause.
