A music faculty member at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Lecturer Tom Peters, has been nominated for a 2014 Grammy in the “Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance” category for the recording “Cage: The 10,000 Things.” Peters is nominated with his fellow performers Vicki Ray, William Winant, and Aron Kallay.

The Rolling Stones are in the midst of their 50th Anniversary Tour, and as they roll into Southern California for their Friday, May 3 performance at the Staples Center, they’ll be joined on stage for the iconic “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” by 26 members of the CSULB Cole Conservatory Chamber Choir.
Coached by CSULB Director of Brass Studies Rob Frear, the CSULB Trumpet Ensemble placed third in the 2013 National Trumpet Competition.
